GENERAL COVID WARNING
All exhibitors and attendees will be required to adhere to the public health guidelines imposed by the Federal and Commonwealth Departments of Public Health in effect at the time of the conference.
Letter from the President-UPDATE:
To our Sea Rovers community:
Earlier this week I wrote to inform you of the safety measures we would be adhering to during this year’s clinic. We have been monitoring the current guidelines and have decided that it would be in the best interest of the general community to make an addendum to our prior communication.
While our previously announced COVID policy will remain in place, we will be enacting a facemask mandate for all our attendees.
We now face a delta variant with markedly increased infectivity. We observe infection amongst fully vaccinated and healthy individuals, suggesting that vaccinated individuals can spread the virus. While the severity of disease amongst vaccinated individuals is evidently diminished, we continuously monitor trends in community disease burden to ensure the safety of our attendees. In Massachusetts, disease incidences are rising and are projected to rise even further over the next several months as we approach holidays.
CDC guidelines have been revised to recommend masks indoors in areas where groups are gathering, elevating the risk of transmission. While the CDC recommendations are vague and generalized, we are choosing to err on the side of caution for the safety of our community.
The CDC guidelines for gatherings can be found here: CDC Guidelines
For our attendees, masks will be available upon check-in at the show for those who need them, and we will be placing hand sanitizer around the event space. The 67th Boston Sea Rovers Clinic is less than two weeks away and we hope you will stride along with us in safety.
I am still very excited about this year’s clinic and truly hope you feel the same way. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
I look forward to seeing you there,
Cheers,
Nick Fazah, President, Boston Sea Rovers
